Stepdown/MedSurg RN

Location

• Fairmont, West Virginia

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• Stepdown experience
• Driver’s license copy required at submission
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at submission

Unit Details

• 20-bed Stepdown/Med Surg unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Stepdown 1:3; Floor 1:5-6
• RN titration of drips required
• Common patient needs include respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, and chest pain
• Respiratory support equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow
• Telemetry monitoring is used on the unit
• House Supervisor coverage is present
• Nurse aides are assigned, with 2 per shift

Schedule Expectations

• 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Holidays rotate between evening or day shifts
• No call or standby
• No floating

Orientation

• Unit-specific orientation is provided
• Orientation includes 12-hour weekend nights

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
