Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Richmond, Virginia. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a busy Emergency Department providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have recent ER experience and strong critical thinking skills to deliver exceptional care to patients with a wide range of emergency and acute care needs.

Position Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department
• Provide safe and effective nursing care for emergency and critical care patients
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Accurately document patient care utilizing EPIC electronic medical records
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards

Facility Highlights

• 32-bed Emergency Department
• 5 recliner chairs with the ability to flex up to 10 hallway beds
• Patient ratios approximately 1:4-5
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• EPIC charting system preferred

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience within the last 24 months
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty applying for
• Strong emergency nursing and patient assessment skills preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN License (state or compact license if applicable)
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• TNCC Certification
• Current CPR certification if applicable

Additional Requirements

• Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available)
• TB screening, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
