Description
Required Licensure & Certifications
- Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Active Case Management certification from an ANCC Magnet-recognized organization, including one of the following:
- Certified Case Manager (CCM)
- Accredited Case Manager (ACM)
- Nurse Case Manager Board Certified (CMGT-BC or equivalent ANCC-recognized certification)
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of utilization review and/or case management experience.
- Strong experience performing concurrent and initial utilization reviews.
- Experience applying MCG (Milliman Care Guidelines) required.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial payer requirements.
- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
Required Technical Skills
- Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) required.
- Proficiency with MCG (Milliman Care Guidelines).
- Experience with utilization management software and payer portals.
- Strong computer and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
