Description

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Stroke Stepdown)

Join a supportive medical-surgical team providing comprehensive care for patients with a strong emphasis on stroke stepdown recovery. In this role, you'll perform thorough patient assessments, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve the best possible outcomes. This position offers day shifts with a block schedule and may require floating to other units based on staffing and patient care needs. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills are essential for managing a diverse patient population.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required for this unit)
Valid driver's license with a matching current address
Completed skills checklist specific to the Medical-Surgical specialty
Previous travel nursing experience documentation
Updated resume reflecting at least 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
