Description

Job title: Respiratory Therapist

Facility: Henry Ford Health – Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, Jackson, MI

Department: Respiratory EKG Services

Start Date: 08/24/2026

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts/week

Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Hours: 36 hours/week

Weekend: Every other weekend required

Required Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Respiratory Therapist experience

Education: Associate of Science from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Licensure: Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist license

Certification: NBRC registration + BLS

Main Responsibilities

Provide respiratory life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical-gas therapies.
Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures.
Provide respiratory care to ICU and general practice patients.
Document patient care accurately and completely.
Communicate with physicians, patients, and interdisciplinary staff.
May supervise/direct other respiratory therapists, students, externs, and orientees.
Complete accurate patient billing documentation.
