Position Details

Position: RN – Med Surg / Stroke Stepdown
Facility: MVHS Inc.
Shift: Nights
Hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Local Candidates: Accepted
Travel Experience: Required

Requirements

2+ years of Med Surg experience
Stroke Stepdown experience required
Travel nursing experience required
Current AHA BLS
NIHSS required for the unit
- Can be obtained prior to start
Active NY RN License
All other active RN licenses must also be verified
NURSYS report required
Updated resume must clearly document:
- 2+ years MS experience
- Stroke Stepdown experience
- Travel experience
Skills checklist matching the specialty
Driver's license with address matching candidate demographics
RTO must be provided at submission

Required Certifications

AHA BLS
NIHSS
- Required for the unit
- May be obtained before start

Best Fit

A strong candidate would be an RN with 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience, specific Stroke Stepdown experience, prior travel nursing experience, active NY RN license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certification or willingness to obtain NIHSS before starting.
