Description
ICU RN – Float Position | Massachusetts
Facility: Baystate Medical Center
Shift: 12-Hour Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 36 hours/week; 48-hour contracts may be accommodated
Position Overview
Seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses for a float position. Candidates will float between:
- Medical ICU / HVCC
- Surgical ICU (SICU)
- Intermediate Care (IMC)
The Medical ICU and Neuro Critical Care Unit has 32 beds across two floors.
Patient Population / Experience Required
Experience with:
- Sepsis
- ESRD and AKI
- CRRT/CVVH
- Post-cardiac arrest care
- Respiratory failure
- Medical ICU patients
- Neuro Critical Care patients
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of Level I ICU experience, or 2 years of ICU experience preferred
- MICU experience preferred
- Strong ICU background required
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- NIHSS
- Candidates must live outside a 90-mile radius of the facility
- New graduates or nurses with only one year of experience as a new grad may not be considered
