Ambulatory Surgery RN

Position: RN – Ambulatory Surgery / Department of Surgery
Shift: Days – 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Schedule: 5x8s, Monday–Friday
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs/week
Age Group: 5 years and older
EMR: EPIC
Holidays: Every other major holiday
Local Candidates: Accepted within 50 miles; local rate applies
 

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in an ambulatory/outpatient surgical setting.
• Assess patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient condition and identify changes or complications.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist with post-procedure recovery.
• Coordinate care with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC.
• Follow ambulatory surgery and patient-safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty/ambulatory nursing.
• Ambulatory, outpatient, clinic, or primary care experience may be considered.
• EPIC experience required.
• Active Massachusetts RN license required.
• BLS – AHA required.
• 2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references in matching specialty.
• Matching specialty Skills Checklist required.
• Current RN license verification through Nursys required.
• Updated resume documenting relevant specialty experience.
• Travel experience preferred but first-time travelers accepted.
• RTO must be submitted at the time of submission.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season.
