Description
Position Details:
-BLS, NRP required
-Previous travel experience required
-MINIMUM 2+ YEARS in NICU required Level 4
- Experience with oscillator vent, conventional vent, umbilical lines, hypothermia, neonatal
- NICU takes transfers from all over the state and has the ability to go up to 130 beds
- Accepts 21.5 weeks gestation and above
- 120 babies on average
- 40 rooms with 2-3 beds/babies per room
- Ratios: 2:3-4
- 300-500 gram premies
- vents & jet experience
- they do have resp techs on hand
-48 hrs/wk
-Every other weekend is required
RNs will be assigned a home unit but may be asked to float. See below for details:
-Home Unit is: Neonatal ICU
NICU Details:
-NICU RN’s can float to CCN (nursey step down)
-CCN (nursey step down can float to RNICU (neonatal ICU)
-babies still on Oxygen
-ratio is 1:2-3
