Medical-Surgical RN Job Description
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse providing quality care to adult patients in a fast-paced post-surgical setting. This role offers the opportunity to care for patients with a variety of conditions while utilizing your Med-Surg experience and clinical expertise.
Position Details
- Unit: Medical-Surgical (MS)
- Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Scheduling: Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
- Floating: Required
- EMR: Epic
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Patient Population: Adults
Common Patient Diagnoses
- Post-surgical care
- Abdominal pain
- Cholelithiasis
- Osteoarthritis
- Fractures
- Back pain
- Morbid obesity and bariatric surgery patients
Equipment & Skills
Experience with the following is preferred:
- IV pumps
- Nasogastric (NG) tubes
- Feeding tubes
Submission Requirements
Candidates must provide:
- An up-to-date resume showing at least 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience
- Previous travel experience is required
- Specialty-specific skills checklist
- Valid driver's license with an address matching submitted demographics
- Current AHA BLS certification
- NURSYS license verification showing an active New York RN license and all other active RN licenses
- RTO included at the time of submission
