Description
Schedule
- 5x8s or 4x10s
- Day shift, varying between 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call
- Approximately 10–14 call days per month
- May be assigned to Cath Lab, EP, or Cath Holding
- Travelers must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
- Longer assignments through 01/09/2027 may be available
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years Cath Lab RN experience
- Critical Care (ICU), Cardiac Care (CC), or ED experience required
- Epic proficiency required — no exceptions
- BLS and ACLS required
- Active Virginia RN or Compact RN license in hand at submission
- Must be comfortable with rotating call
Cath Lab Skills
Experience with:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
- PCI / cardiac stent placement
- Left and right heart catheterization
- IABP placement/removal
- Impella
- Cardioversion
- Sheath removal and monitoring
- Vascular closure systems
- Procedural sedation
- ACT monitoring
- 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Starting and maintaining IVs
EP experience is a plus, including pacemaker procedures and other electrophysiology services.
