Surgical Technologist - CVOR
Location
Louisville, Kentucky
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- Open to hours that fit the employee’s schedule
- Preferred schedule: four 10-hour shifts
- Call is more frequent for this role, but is expected to lessen as staffing increases
Required Qualifications
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- One year of experience as a Scrub Tech or completion of Scrub Tech training
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program in the United States Armed Forces
- BLS
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C)
Role Highlights
- Works under the direct supervision of an RN in the operating room
- Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, assisting with surgical setup and turnover, handling instruments and supplies, and supporting the OR team
- May include ancillary duties such as cleaning rooms between cases, stocking rooms, and helping in central sterile
