Emergency Department RN

Job Overview

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment type: Long-term assignment
Shift: Nights, 36 hours per week
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Required
Shift rotation: May rotate to day shifts when requested; night position itself does not rotate
Patient ratio: 1:4
Unit size: 65 beds
Daily volume: About 230 visits per day

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Red Cross, American Heart Association, CHSF, or Military
Ability to perform general ED nursing skills, including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education

Preferred Qualifications

TNCC
NRP
