Description
Interim Director of Emergency Services
Role: Director, Emergency Services — interim leadership
Location: Des Moines, IA
Schedule: 8 AM–5 PM days; must adapt to business needs and have 24/7 call responsibility
Start dates: September 14, September 21, or September 28
Interview: 1–2 Teams interviews with the C-suite
Weekend: Possible
License: Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required
Must-have qualifications
- At least 5 years / 60 months of interim or progressive hospital/clinical leadership
- Recent/current Level I Trauma Center experience
- Experience leading a large organization:
- 600+ bed hospital or
- healthcare system spanning multiple hospitals
- Leadership of 200+ employees, including FTE, PRN, and temporary staff
- MSN or master's in nursing, healthcare administration, business, or related field
- EPIC experience highly preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel/Power BI skills
- Iowa/compact RN license
- Driver's license
- Ability to lead across three EDs and work with physicians, inpatient leaders, revenue cycle, and other market leaders
