Obstetrical Technician

• Night shift
• 13 weeks
• 36 hr/week. 

Qualifications:

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required
• Licensure:  Surgical Technician Certification or documented competency with 6 months experience required.
• Current AHA or equivalent CPR Certification required.
• Experience: Previous experience as an operating room/obstetrical technician required.
• Prior unit clerk/secretarial experience with medical terminology preferred.   
• Prior experience with the delivery process and newborns preferred.
• Skills: Must have knowledge of the basic concepts necessary for the performance of the duties expected of the operating room technician. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, be able to transcribe orders and perform computer order entry.
• Physical Effort: Physically fit and able to perform principle duties and responsibilities of the job.  Requires sitting, standing, bending, walking, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.  
• Hours of work: Variable.
• Other:  Completion of annual organizational requirements for employment.
