- Job Title: OR - RN (Travel Contract)
- Specialty: Operating Room (Unit 701)
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina (Mission Hospital)
- Shift: Nights (8:45 PM - 7:15 AM; variable schedule with call required)

Position Summary Operating Room Registered Nurse needed for an 815-bed flagship hospital and Level II trauma center. Must have a skill level of 3 or higher in Joint, Neuro, Ortho, and Vascular with no exceptions. Responsibilities require broad surgical knowledge across service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma. Charting is done via Cerner, and scrubs are provided by the facility.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience required
- Active nursing license required at submission
- Strict skill proficiency required: Level 3 or higher in Joint, Neuro, Ortho, and Vascular service lines

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
