Location

• Wheeling, West Virginia

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift

• 12-hour nights

Unit Details

• 30 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6/7
• Charge nurse on the floor with assignment
• PCTs on the unit
• Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor techs
• Intermittent BiPAP used on the unit
• Common patient types include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI, and surgical rule-outs

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Must be able to work within the stated ratio up to 1:7
• Must be able to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
• Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver’s license
• Licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission

Scheduling and Work Expectations

• Scheduled weekends and holidays as needed, usually about half of total weekends
• No standby or call requirement
• Floating may be required based on census, with external travelers floating first

Additional Notes

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Submissions must be within a 50-mile radius
