Description
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?):BLS
- Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois. Current American Heart Association HealthCare
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: At least 3 years of OR nursing experience
- Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge RN 24/7, they do not take a patient assignment but can help in a room when needed
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 8Hr shifts with various start times - 0645, 1045, 1445
- Weeknight/Call Requirements: Call - approximately once per week
- Weekend/Call Requirements: Call - every 3rd to 4th weekend
- Holiday/Call Requirements Call
- Floating Requirements: None
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs are provided. Casual professional dress to enter/leave the facility
- Unit/Department specific orientation: 1 week
- Required Certifications: BLS (AHA)
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles
- Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift
- Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation
- Trauma Level:1
- Care Setting: Acute

- Average # of cases per day : 25-45 cases/day
- Common Cases Several specialties that include general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, & cardiothoracic
- OR techs?: Yes - surgical techs: 1-2 per patient; CNAs: 3-4 on days & go down to 1 by 7p - help clean rooms
