What You'll Do
- Perform routine and advanced pediatric echocardiography examinations independently
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images of normal cardiac anatomy and complex congenital heart conditions
- Conduct imaging throughout all phases of care, including diagnostic, pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-operative evaluations
- Operate cardiac ultrasound, Doppler, and related imaging equipment while optimizing image quality
- Assist with portable studies throughout the hospital as needed
- Establish supportive relationships with patients and families while explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Support quality assurance initiatives and maintain departmental imaging standards
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and supplies
- Provide education and mentorship to sonographers, trainees, and fellows
- Participate in clinical research projects and assist with protocol implementation and data collection
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Requirements
What We're Looking For
✅ Completion of an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound Program with specialization in Pediatric Echocardiography
✅ RDCS Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) Credential Required
✅ Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
✅ Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Echocardiography experience required
✅ 5+ years of Pediatric Echocardiography experience preferred
✅ Strong experience performing comprehensive echocardiograms on patients with congenital heart disease
✅ Ability to independently perform complex pediatric cardiac ultrasound examinations
✅ Experience working in fast-paced pediatric or academic medical center environments preferred
✅ Strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
✅ Commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and continuous learning
