Job Description:

Position: CT Technologist

Location: Riverhead, New York

Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• 9:00pm-7:00am
• Overnight shifts
• Every other Saturday and Sunday required
• 38 hours per week

Travel Pay Package:

• $4,002 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Overview:

• Perform CT imaging procedures for emergency, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Operate multiple CT scanners including GE Optima, Siemens Force, and GE Ascend
• Obtain patient histories and explain imaging procedures
• Perform trauma, stroke, brain, abdomen, pelvis, chest, and other CT examinations
• Review imaging orders and maintain diagnostic imaging quality standards
• Primarily support emergency department imaging volume
• Assist with X-Ray duties if needed

• Approximately 75% ER, 20% inpatient, and 5% outpatient imaging
• HealthStream training assigned on day one

Requirements:

• New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
• ARRT (R) required
• ARRT (CT) required
• New York State IV/Injection Certification required (or eligible to obtain)
• BLS required
• Minimum 1 year CT experience preferred
• Must be willing to assist in X-Ray when needed
• Strong trauma and emergency imaging experience preferred
