Description
Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: 4x10s or 5x8s, Days, 40 hrs/week
Start Date: 9/21/2026
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience; IR/Special Procedures experience.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent + approved Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT required + active DC/state license.
- BLS (AHA) required.
- Must live 100+ miles from the facility.
- Experience assisting physicians with interventional procedures, special procedures & imaging/scans.
- Knowledge of radiation safety/quality standards required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for radiological functions for special procedures and other interventional examinations.
- Assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
- Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol.
- Observes patients during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
