As a Travel Labor & Delivery RN, you’ll play an important role in delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care to women and families throughout their maternity journey.

You’ll have the opportunity to use your clinical expertise while working alongside physicians and an interdisciplinary team in a Mom-Baby/Labor & Delivery environment.

This role is a great fit for an RN who enjoys maternal-child nursing, patient education, family-centered care, clinical assessment, and collaborative practice.


👩‍🍼 What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the Labor & Delivery/Mom-Baby setting.
  • Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in health status.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Provide compassionate and evidence-based nursing interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding care, treatment, recovery, and wellness.
  • Provide health teaching and counseling based on individual patient needs.
  • Execute appropriate delegated medical functions within your scope of practice.
  • Identify changes in patient condition and communicate concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate referrals for additional evaluation or treatment when needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive patient experiences.
  • Utilize available clinical resources to support effective patient care.
  • Follow professional nursing standards, policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Float to other departments within your scope of competency, when required based on operational needs.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities if required by the department.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the RN role as assigned.

🩺 What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Ability to provide safe, competent, and compassionate nursing care.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and patient-education skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to independently perform nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Preferred

  • BSN from an accredited nursing program.
  • Previous Labor & Delivery experience.
  • Mom-Baby / Mother-Baby experience.
  • Postpartum nursing experience.
  • Maternal-child or women’s health experience.
  • ACLS certification, as applicable to the unit.
  • NRP certification, as applicable to the unit.
  • PALS certification, as applicable to the unit.
  • Specialty certification appropriate to the assigned service.
