Important Emergency Team Requirement
Travelers must be aware of the following before accepting an assignment:
Upon accepting an assignment and beginning employment, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an Emergency Team. Travelers assigned to this team may be expected to:
- Remain at the facility until the emergency event has passed, or
- Serve as part of the designated relief team.
Specific details regarding compensation will be provided for each emergency event, as pay and circumstances may vary.
By signing a travel contract with Ochsner Health, the traveler acknowledges and accepts this requirement and agrees to report as assigned by their immediate unit manager should an emergency event occur.
Travelers should not apply for this position if they are not comfortable with this requirement.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- Minimum 3 years of Neuro Surgery experience required
- Minimum 3 years of Ortho Spine experience required
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Must have extensive experience in:
- Neuro
- Ortho Spine
- Craniotomy
- Experience with additional service lines is a plus:
- General surgery
- ENT
- Robotics
Call Requirements
- Neuro call is required
Facility does not accept local travelers. Must be over 65 miles
