Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location

Watertown, New York

Contract

13 weeks
8-hour day shifts
40 hours per week

Schedule

Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage required
On-call response time: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS certification
Preceptorship experience
Charge and leadership abilities
Experience with prioritizing and delegating
Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in stressful situations
Creative problem-solving skills

Job Responsibilities

Provide quality patient care in the operating room
Assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
Recognize safety issues and use lifts safely when moving patients
May be required to function as charge nurse
Use typical clinical equipment and instrumentation in a safe and/or aseptic OR/ASU environment
