Description
CT Technologist / Radiologic Technologist
Shift: Night Shift / Graveyard
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Summary
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues to assist physicians in diagnosing and evaluating medical conditions.
Performs CT examinations as well as a variety of other diagnostic imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy, as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology — Preferred
- ARRT certification: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT) — Required
- Active Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in California — Required
- CT Advanced Certification
- Required in Oregon and Hawaii
- Preferred in California
- BLS certification from an approved provider — Required
- Fluoroscopy license in California — Required if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification in California — Required if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials
Facility-Specific Requirements
- BLS certification from an approved provider — Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) — Required
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment and perform CT examinations according to established protocols.
- Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
- Perform general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures as assigned.
- Properly position and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
- Administer contrast materials when authorized and appropriately certified.
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
