RN – Ortho / Post-Op / Med-Surg

Facility: Highpoint Health – Sumner
Location: Gallatin, TN
Unit: A6
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
Openings: 1
Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
Weekend: As needed / Every 3rd weekend
Call: None
Floating: As needed – must be willing to float
Travel Requirement: Must live 60+ miles from the facility

Requirements

1+ year RN experience
Tennessee RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) – required
Good assessment skills preferred
Must be motivated, hardworking, compassionate, and a team player
Must be comfortable asking questions when needed

Unit Details

23-bed unit
Patient ratio: 4–6:1
EHR: Meditech
Trauma Level III
Patient population: Adults, geriatrics, and patients age 13+
Common cases:
- Post-op joint patients
- Post-op bariatric patients
- Post-op GI
- Trauma patients

Dress Code

Scrubs: Any color
T-shirts must have the hospital logo
No acrylic nails

Good to know: The facility is open to 48-hour guaranteed contracts and weekend block scheduling.
