Description
We are seeking an experienced CV/Thoracic PCU RN to provide quality care to patients with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity cardiovascular and thoracic patients.
- Perform assessments and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and oxygen levels.
- Monitor telemetry strips and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Manage post-operative patients and assist with drains, wound care, and other nursing procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Previous PCU, cardiovascular, or thoracic nursing experience preferred.
- Active RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
