Description

Travel - "CT Technologist"

 

    Pay Breakdown

  (Based on 36 hours)

  W2 (taxable): $16.00/hr
  Per Diem (Non-Taxable): $ 2,898

  Gross Weekly Pay: $3,474.00/week


Requirements

  • Experience Required: 2–3 years as a Radiologic Technologist preferred, with at least 1 year of CT experience
  • Certification Required: ARRT CT certification or equivalent
  • License Required: Current Massachusetts Radiologic and CT Technologist License
  • Trauma Experience: Level I Trauma experience required
  • Equipment Experience: Siemens CT experience required

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scanners, power injectors, patient monitoring equipment, and related imaging technology.
  • Perform diagnostic CT procedures according to departmental protocols.
  • Properly prepare, position, and immobilize patients while ensuring radiation safety.
  • Select appropriate imaging factors and acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Explain CT procedures to patients while addressing their physical and emotional needs.
  • Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction.
  • Follow all hospital and departmental contrast administration policies.
  • Calibrate and verify CT equipment before use and report malfunctions or required repairs.
  • Complete Radiology Information System functions, including exam documentation and image transfer to PACS.
  • Prepare and stock equipment rooms and supplies for daily operations.
  • Transport and transfer patients according to established procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional communication with hospital and departmental staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-services, continuing education, quality assurance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • May instruct and oversee radiography, CT, nuclear medicine, and other technology students.
  • Float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with BWH as needed.
  • Rotate between departments, divisions, and off-site clinics based on operational needs.
  • Participate in on-call coverage, overtime, and flexible shift coverage as required.
  • Exercise independent judgment and initiative when performing CT examinations in high-pressure situations.

Additional Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Strong knowledge of imaging processes, CT techniques, procedures, and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients experiencing physical or emotional stress.
  • Must maintain licensure and continuing education requirements in accordance with Massachusetts regulations and ARRT standards.
