Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• RN license
• Rehab experience
• Prior travel experience is required if the clinician is a medical-surgical nurse

Schedule Requirements

• Every other to every third weekend
• 2 of 3 winter holidays and every other holiday otherwise
• May work 12-hour or 8-hour shifts
• Floating to med-surg telemetry units may be required

Unit Details

• Adult rehab unit; does not take pediatric patients
• 10 private rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5
• Charge nurses take patient assignments, and travelers may serve as charge
• CNAs are available days and evenings; none overnight
• Team conferences are held daily around 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Clinical Responsibilities

• RN may administer nebulizers and inhalers
• RT handles CPAP and BiPAP at night; RN may remove them
• Common drips include IV fluids, antibiotics, and heparin when transitioning to Coumadin

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers may be accepted if they have rehab experience
• Candidates must be able to clock in and out at the facility
• Any color scrubs are allowed, as long as they are clean and professional
• Duo placements with the same shifts cannot be accommodated
