Skills:
Required Skills & Experience: -Two (2) years of pediatric echocardiography experience. -Advanced knowledge of the principles of ultrasound physics and instrumentation of ultrasound systems. -Advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathology. -Advanced knowledge of transthoracic echocardiography. -Advanced knowledge of pediatric echo and a higher level of ability, performance and competencies. -Advanced proficiency in operation of ultrasound equipment and digital reporting software. -Participation in national, international or original research studies. -Knowledge and ability to deliver developmental and age-appropriate care to patients. Preferred Skills & Experience: -Five (5) years of pediatric echocardiography experience.

Advanced knowledge of transthoracic echocardiography.

Ability to travel to multiple work locations
Education:
Required Education: -High school diploma or GED. Preferred Education: -Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs [CAAHEP] accredited cardiovascular program. Required Certifications & Licensure: -Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer [RDCS] in pediatric echocardiography from ARDMS; OR -Registered Cardiac Sonographer [RCS or RCCS] from CCI within one (1) year of placement into the role. Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -N/A
Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience: Two (2) years of pediatric echocardiography experience.
Preferred Experience: Five (5) years of pediatric echocardiography experience.
Within 12 months of start date: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
