Job Description:

Position: Mammography Technologist

Location: Staten Island, New York

Setting: Outpatient 

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• Monday & Tuesday: 12:00pm-8:00pm
• Wednesday-Friday: 11:00am-7:00pm
• Every other Saturday: 7:00am-3:00pm
• Training schedule may be 9:00am-5:00pm during weekdays
• 37.5 hours per week

Travel Pay Package:

• $3,331 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Overview:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations
• Utilize specialized mammography equipment to capture high-quality breast images
• Assist radiologists in the detection of breast abnormalities and cancer screening
• Perform digital mammography and tomosynthesis procedures
• Work primarily with adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients over age 8
• Support patient education and comfort throughout imaging procedures
• Work in an outpatient breast imaging center located on the Staten Island University Hospital North campus

Requirements:

• ARRT (R)(M) required
• New York State Mammography License required
• Digital Mammography and Tomosynthesis training documentation required
• Documentation of 200 mammography cases within the last 24 months required
• Documentation of didactic training required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Mammography experience required
