Labor & Delivery/Post Partum RN

Overview

Role: LD and Postpartum RN Day Rotator
Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment type: LTA
Schedule: Rotates between day, evening, and night shifts; every other weekend required
Hours: 36 or 48 hours
Call: 1 night of call
Floating: No

Unit

Unit Name: Labor & Delivery/Post Partum Unit
Unit Description: 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit covering L&D, PP, NBN, 2 OR’s, 2 RR’s, and 2 ANU rooms
Bed Count: 5 LD rooms, 12 PP, 2 OR’s, 2 RR, 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
Average Daily Census: 15–25 mothers, babies, and labors

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Labor and Delivery experience with 3 years of experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Post Partum experience
OR Circulate experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
EFM

Preferred Qualifications

AHA ACLS

Additional Notes

EPIC charting system
Clinician-to-patient ratios: L&D 1:2–3 for evals, 1:1 active labor, magnesium gtt or epidural; PP 1:3–4
