Position Details

• Position: CT Technologist
• Shift: 10-hour nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Setting: Acute care

Equipment

• Siemens Sensation 64
• GE 16 LightSpeed
• Candidate should be comfortable working with these CT scanners.

Required Certifications / Credentials

• ARRT (CT) – Required
• ARRT (R) – Required
• BLS – Required
• Fluoroscopy – Required
• Crisis Protocol Approved

License

• California license required
• License must be available for submission.

Workload

• Approximately 10–20 scans per shift
• Evenings are the busiest
• Night shift uses Nighthawk because the radiologist is not available 24/7.

Patient Population / Exams

Common cases include:

• ER patients
• General CT
• Virtual colonography
• Gated procedures when needed

EMR / PACS

• Cerner
• McKesson PACS

Staffing

• Hospitalist or Intensivist in-house
• Radiologist is not available 24/7.
• Nighthawk coverage is used during night shift.

Floating / Orientation

• Radiology floor-specific orientation
• Orientation is approximately 3–4 shifts
• The posting does not indicate floating to another facility/unit.

Schedule / Holidays

• 10-hour night shifts
• Holidays follow the same hours as weekends
• Holidays are worked as part of the rotation.
