Description

Job Title: SPED Teacher – Self-Contained Classroom
Facility Type/Setting: Elementary School – Self-Contained Special Education Classroom
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday
Weekly Hours: 35 billable hours/week
Contract Length: ASAP – 05/28/2027

Requirements:

IL PEL LBS1 license/credential required
Experience with educational life skills teaching preferred
Experience with low-incidence populations preferred
Behavior planning experience preferred
Ability to collaborate with a team of providers
Ability to organize a system of communication

Responsibilities:

Assist students in addressing academic and behavioral delays
Consult with school staff regarding appropriate behavioral and academic interventions
Support students in regular education and special education settings who require special education services
Teach in a self-contained classroom
