Schedule

Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• No set schedule
• Initial shifts will be scheduled by the facility
• After the initial schedule, travelers will be trained to self-schedule
• Weekend on-call required
• Typically 8–12 call shifts per 8-week period
• 30-minute response time required while on call

Unit Overview

The Operating Room is a 16-room surgical department located on the 2nd floor of the main building.

The department utilizes DaVinci robotic technology and provides a variety of surgical services.

Equipment: DaVinci Robotics

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of recent acute-care hospital CST experience – Required
• NBSTSA certification – Required and active
• DORA certification – Required and active
• BLS – Required
• Must be willing to participate in weekend on-call
• Must be able to meet the 30-minute response time requirement while on call

Preferred Qualifications

• Transplant experience – Highly Preferred
• Spine surgery experience
• Prior Meditech experience

Key Responsibilities

The CST will support the surgical team throughout operative procedures by:

• Preparing the operating room and surgical equipment
• Maintaining a sterile field
• Assisting the surgical team during procedures
• Preparing and handling surgical instruments and supplies
• Supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures
• Following sterile technique and department protocols
• Working collaboratively with surgeons, RNs, and other OR staff
• Providing support across a variety of surgical specialties
