Description

RN Labor & Delivery – Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: Urbana, IL
Shift: Nights – 12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks, with possibility of extension

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
Active Illinois RN license
BLS certification
NRP certification

Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns.
Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.
Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Perform assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate changes in patient condition.
