Description
Title: RN – Pediatrics
Location: Bakersfield, CA 93306
Shift: Days, 3x12-hour (36 hours/week); no block scheduling, floating required
Duration: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- California RN license – valid and unrestricted
- BLS and PALS certifications through AHA
- Cerner EMR experience
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred
- Experience with pediatric nursing care and acute patient populations
- Strong assessment, nursing judgment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
Description:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Monitor patients for changes in physiological and psychosocial status, prioritize nursing actions, and respond promptly to rapidly changing or emergency situations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, patients, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following infection control, medication safety, and hospital policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and deliver safe, evidence-based care in accordance with nursing standards and the California Nurse Practice Act.
