Key Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
• Performs daily equipment calibration and quality control checks before patient studies.
• Performs CT procedures according to prescribed protocols.
• Administers contrast/radiopharmaceutical agents according to physician orders and established protocols, including verification of dose and activity levels.
• Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verifies proper receipt upon delivery.
• Performs quality assurance, quality control, and radiation safety testing in accordance with ALARA principles.
• Maintains required documentation, logs, charge records, and equipment issue reports.
• Maintains and retrieves patient imaging and electronic records for radiologist interpretation.
• Assesses and responds appropriately to patient needs throughout the radiology visit.
• May be required to perform X-ray procedures during the overnight shift.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience.
• New York State License as a Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.).
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• Current BLS certification.
• CT and injection certification required.
