Description
ER RN – Salem, MA
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (36 or 48 hrs/week), every other weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks (90 contract weeks available)
Free on-site parking
Facility Details:
- 65-bed Emergency Department, pod-based, with a separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area
- Ratio: 1:4
- Patient population: all ages
- Census: ~230 visits/day
- Charting System: EPIC ASAP
- Skills required: assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, patient education
Floating/Rotation:
- Must float to ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych OBs)
- Day rotate (7a–7p, 11a–11p, & 7p–7a) required when requested — rotation frequency low; night position does not rotate
Requirements:
- 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience required
- Active BLS – AHA required
- ACLS – AHA required
- PALS – AHA required
- NRP and TNCC strongly preferred
