Outpatient Neurology RN – Job Breakdown

Care Setting: Outpatient
Department: Neuro / Sleep Lab
Trauma Level: II
Contract: 13 weeks / 91 days
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Shift

• 8-hour days
• Monday–Friday
• No weekends
• No call
• No weekend or call requirements

Required

• 2 years of recent RN experience
• BLS – AHA required
• WI RN license or Compact RN license
• BSN not required

Preferred Experience

• Neurology experience preferred
• Clinic or Med-Surg experience is acceptable

Main Job Duties

• Medication refills
• Checking PDMP
• Ensuring patients have follow-up appointments
• Communicating with patients regarding:
  • Labs
  • Medications
  • Test results
• Responding to portal messages
• Assisting physicians with hypoglossal nerve stimulator patients
  • Activation
  • Adjustments/changes
• Working with adult and pediatric neurology providers
• Power plans and proposing orders
• Prior authorizations
• Coordinating patient care

Facility / Department

• Approximately 20 exam rooms
• 9 sleep labs
• Approximately 50 patients/day
• Located in the clinic tower
• EMR: Cerner

Floating

May float to:

• Other Neuro areas
• Sleep Lab

• Scrubs or
• Business casual

Important Marshfield Rule

⚠️ Must mention in the submission if the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield.

If they previously worked for Marshfield, they must have an end date at least 6 months before the submission date.

Cancellation

Client can cancel up to 12 hours during the 13-week contract.

Training will be relatively quick and includes:

• Computer training
• Hands-on training
• Department-specific duties
