Description
Speech Language Pathologist - Contract
Location: Utica, NY
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Days – 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Start Date: October 27, 2026
Duties :
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide speech and language services in a long-term care setting, including patient assessments and treatment planning. The SLP will evaluate patient potential, develop appropriate care strategies, communicate effectively with patients and facility staff, and support patients in achieving their individual goals.
Requirement:
- Long-term care (LTC) experience required
- Graduate of a college or university accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Eligible for or holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Excellent communication skills with patients, medical staff, and facility staff
- Strong assessment skills and ability to accurately evaluate patient potential
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Epic/EMR software
Knowledge of the PDPM reimbursement system
