Description
Job requirements
This is a Travel ICU RN position in a 20-bed ICU, with a significant floating requirement to Telemetry and Med/Surg.
Required experience
- ICU/critical-care RN experience — required
- Strong critical-care skills, particularly:
- Mechanical ventilation
- Sepsis management
- DKA/hyperglycemia
- COPD
- CVA/stroke
- GI bleeds
- Postoperative ICU recovery
- Cardiac patients/PCI
- Must be comfortable managing high-acuity patients at a 1:2 ratio
- Must be comfortable with the ABCDE bundle
- Must have strong IV-start/IV access skills.
- Must be able to read and interpret their own telemetry strips.
Required certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Preferred:
- CCRN
- Basic critical-care course
