- Shift: 12H Nights, 7p-7a
- Weekend Requirements: Based on unit needs
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Call/Standby: No
- Floating: Required; first to float
- Cancellation: Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
- Charting System: EPIC
- Scrub Color: Blue scrubs provided on unit

Job Description / Duties / Responsibilities
- Unit: Women's Services, Meridian Hospital, Floor 3
- 10 L&D beds
- 2 OR suites for C-sections; L&D RNs circulate
- 4 triage beds
- 10 postpartum beds
- Approximately 120 births/month
- AWHONN standards: primarily 1:1 in L&D and 1:6 couple care in postpartum
- Patient population: Laboring patients 32 weeks and greater, elective and medical inductions of labor, stable antepartum patients, postpartum patients, and well newborns
- Titrate drips: Primarily Pitocin per protocol, magnesium, and rarely insulin
- Charge RN, Resource RN, and House Supervisor on each shift; Charge RN and Resource RN have no assignment
- CNA available for L&D/PP/NICU 4–5 days and nights/week
- Unit clerk available 24/7
- OB hospitalist 24/7; midwives always on call
- Neonatal NP 24/7; Neonatologist on call and available within 15 minutes
- CRNA in house 24/7
- No Tele/Monitor Techs
- EFM System: GE Connect
- Staff cannot work more than five shifts in a row
- Traveler schedule requests accommodated when possible outside approved time off
- Floating to like units within the valley required, including Nampa L&D and Boise L&D
- All sites are approximately 20 minutes apart
- May also be utilized as a sitter in MS or ED
- Notice is given prior to shift; true floating to a separate location is rare
- Unit-specific orientation: Customized per traveler, typically 4–6 shifts
