Emergency Department RN – Adult & Pediatric

📍 Facility: CVPH Champlain Valley Physician Hospital, Plattsburgh, NY
🕐 Shift: 12-hour shifts — primarily evenings; 11 AM–11 PM also available
🏥 Unit: 29-bed ED + 4-bed Behavioral Health + 7-bed Fast Track
🚑 Trauma: Level III
💻 EMR: Epic — recent Epic experience within 2 years required
👕 Scrubs: Navy Blue
📞 Call: None
📆 Weekend: Every other weekend minimum
🎉 Holidays: Required
🚫 Block Scheduling: Not available

Patient Population

Adult & pediatric patients
Neonate through geriatric
Busy community ED
Typical ratio: 1:5 or higher
May care for boarded, psychiatric, COVID, and medical-surgical patients

Requirements

Minimum 1 year ED experience
Prior travel preferred
NY RN license or proof of application
AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
TNCC
NIHSS
Epic experience within the past 2 years
Charge experience preferred
Must be comfortable with higher patient ratios
Must be able to perform IV starts, EKGs, respiratory treatments, and manage drips
