Description
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Massachusetts RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- At least 2 years of inpatient adult psychiatric RN experience
- Experience caring for adult psychiatric patients, ages 18–65
- Proficiency with Omnicell (automated medication dispensing system)
- Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and their side effects
- Ability to function as a charge nurse
- Ability to perform admissions and discharges
- Willingness/ability to float as required
- For this specific night position (7 PM–7:30 AM), night rotation is not required.
- Assignment is 36 hours/week, nights, with every other weekend (EOW).
Expected nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1 RN : 7–8 patients.
Key screening requirements
- The most important "must-haves" appear to be:
- 2+ years inpatient adult psych experience + active MA RN license + AHA BLS + psych medication/Omnicell competency + ability to handle medically acute psychiatric patients.
