Looking for your next travel nursing opportunity? This Telemetry RN assignment offers the opportunity to work in a dedicated cardiovascular care environment while caring for patients in a 32-bed unit with a strong focus on cardiac monitoring and quality nursing care.

You'll work alongside an experienced clinical team while utilizing Epic for documentation and caring for approximately 3–5 patients per shift, depending on acuity.

🩺 Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with professional standards and state nursing regulations.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Perform ongoing health assessments and monitor patient status.
• Provide patient education, health teaching, and counseling.
• Monitor and evaluate therapy and treatment plans.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and make appropriate referrals for additional evaluation or treatment.
• Perform delegated medical functions within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team.
• Float to other departments within your scope of competency when required by operational needs.

❤️ Required Clinical Experience

• 1+ year of Registered Nurse experience
• Telemetry experience or higher-acuity nursing experience
• Strong EKG competency and rhythm interpretation skills
• Cardiac/Telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient health data

📋 Required Credentials

• Active RN license — Single State or Compact RN License accepted
• BLS – American Heart Association
• ACLS – American Heart Association
• NIHSS

Additional certifications such as NRP, PALS, or unit-specific certifications may be required when applicable.

🏥 Unit & Work Environment

• 32-bed Cardiovascular Care Unit
• Average assignment of 3–5 patients, depending on acuity and shift
• Epic electronic health record
• UKG Pro/Kronos for timekeeping and scheduling
• Floating may be required based on operational needs and competency
• No regularly scheduled call shifts; however, you may be placed on call if the hospital does not require staffing for a particular night or at the beginning of the shift

🌙 Weekend Expectations

Weekend requirements are manageable and based on staffing needs:

• Maximum of 8 weekend shifts within an 8-week period
• Typically around 5–6 weekend shifts in an 8-week period, depending on staffing
• For night shifts, weekend coverage generally includes Friday and Saturday nights
