Labor & Delivery / Mother Baby RN – Nights

Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour nights
Contract: 91 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Orientation: 11/2, 11/9, or 11/16 only
Start: ASAP

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar setting
• Prior travel experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Fetal Certification (or equivalent)
• Strong experience in:
  • Labor & Delivery
  • Circulating Cesarean Sections
  • Postpartum care
  • Well-baby newborn care
  • Couplet care

Preferred / Ideal Experience

• Scrubbing Cesarean Sections
• Assisting with Cesarean Sections

Patient Population

• Patients 20+ weeks gestation
• Post-op GYN patients
• Childbearing-age patients

Patient Ratios

• 1:1 – Active labor
• 1:2 – Early labor without epidural or Pitocin
• 1:2–3 – Antepartum
• 1:6 – Moms or well babies
• 1:6 – Mother/Baby care

Schedule & Weekend Requirements

• 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Holidays required
• Weekend shifts required
• 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Friday and Saturday nights are considered weekend shifts
• May be required to work Labor Day
• No floating required
