Role Overview

• OR RN assignment in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
• 13-week contract.
• Department: OR RN.
• 16 suites.
• Average volume: 28 cases per day.

Required Qualifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• Must be able to circulate General/GYN/Urology/PV cases, including bowel resections, laparoscopic cases, daVinci Xi cases, urology (open & scope), peripheral vascular, bariatrics, GYN (open and vaginal), c-sections, lap appy, and lap chole.
• Must be able to circulate ortho cases, including total joints with or without MAKO robot (knees, hips, shoulders, ankles), arthroscopy, and ortho trauma.
• Must be able to circulate Neuro/ENT/Oral/Plastics cases such as trach, ENT (T&A, BMT, or FESS), plastics, breast reductions, spine fusions, laminectomy, crani, facial fractures, laryngoscopy/bronchoscopy, and neck dissections.
• Scrubbing required: No.
• OR techs: Yes.
• Floating: Outpatient Surgery Center across campus.
• Call response time: 30 minutes for call team 1; 45 minutes for call teams 2 through 4.
• Weeknight call: 1-2 nights per week from end of shift to 0700.
• Weekend call: 1 weekend approximately every 5-6 weekends.
• Holiday call: At least 1 holiday per year.
• Must note in submission if clinician has ever worked for the facility; if previously worked there, there must be an end date 6 months prior to submission date.
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.

Preferred

• Night shift experience at the facility.
• 12-hour shifts may be available in certain cases, but are not promised.
• Subsequent contracts may request 12-hour shifts if department staffing allows.

Schedule

• Primarily day shift.
• RNs do one week of PMs approximately every 5 weeks.
• First contracts will not get 12-hour shifts.
• No blocked schedule.

Orientation

• 2-3 days with the educator covering basics and CBTs.
• 1-2 weeks of cases to learn flow or cases the clinician is less familiar with.

Additional Details

• Scrub color/dress code: navy blue, provided via Cintas vending at no cost.
