Job Description: CT Technologist (CT Tech)

Shift Details

• Schedule: Monday – Thursday
• Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Shift Type: Day Shift
• Local Candidate Requirement: Candidates residing within 50 miles or less of the facility are considered local.

Required Qualifications & Registrations

• Active ARRT (CT) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior Computed Tomography (CT) experience in a trauma or cardiac facility is preferred.
• Experience with both GE and Siemens CT equipment is required.
• Venipuncture skills required for patient preparation and contrast administration.

Equipment Experience

Candidates must have experience with GE and Siemens CT systems, including:

• GE VCT Lightspeed – 64-slice.
• GE Optima 660 – 128-slice.
• Siemens SOMATOM Drive.

Preferred Skills

• Prior trauma or cardiac imaging experience.
• Angiography experience preferred but not required.
• Biopsy experience preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
• Operate GE and Siemens CT scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients for examinations, including venipuncture and contrast administration as appropriate.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain patient safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Verify patient identification, review relevant clinical information, and ensure proper positioning.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure compliance with department procedures and safety standards.
