32 bed unit with semi-private rooms. Nurse to patient ratios 4-5:1. All patients are telemetry with continuous heart monitoring. Mixed-acuity patient population ranging from medical-surgical transfers to ICU step-down patients. Patient care includes management and monitoring of patients requiring active cardiac drip titration, monitoring of continuous BiPAP usage, and other higher-acuity interventions. The unit does not care for acute stroke patients.
